Support Services at Schools

We partner with the St. Helena Unified School District and the Calistoga Joint Unified School District to provide student and family support services at the elementary and high school campuses in both St. Helena and Calistoga. Our work in the schools includes coordinating mental health services for students, elementary student social groups, volunteer tutoring, youth mentoring, Student & Family Assistance Program, restorative justice services, and more.

Community Health Workers Week

August 28 – September 1, 2023 is the first annual National Community Health Workers Awareness Week! At UpValley Family Centers, we have an amazing group of community health workers, Promotoras, who increase the awareness of resources upvalley by reaching people who may be isolated from formal health systems. We thank our volunteer Promotoras, and those across our nation and world, for meeting people where they are and equipping them with essential health and wellness information!

Do you have a 5-minute plan?

It can be a matter of life or death. Be proactive in protecting yourself and others; take the time to create a 5-minute plan to evacuate from fires. With a clear escape route, you can leave at a moment's notice, keeping your loved ones safe from harm.

Remember, waiting for official evacuation orders might be too late – act quickly when it feels unsafe.

To ensure a smooth evacuation process:

1. Establish a meeting place for your family.
2. Prepare an emergency kit containing essentials like medication, important documents, clothes, food, and water.
3. Stay updated with weather reports and Red Flag Warnings.
4. If it's time to leave, have your emergency bags packed and gather your family, including pets.
5. Don't delay; evacuate promptly.
