Leticia's Story

Leticia and her spouse have struggled financially for years to provide for their family. When the community shut down during the pandemic, they fell behind on their rent and were not eligible for government assistance. When the eviction moratorium ended, they received a 30-day notice and became homeless with their three children. They knew they could come to the Family Centers for help and through the various efforts of our case managers and countywide partners, we found the family a new place to live and covered the cost of their deposit.

It’s stories like Leticia’s that underscore why our work matters. Stability and growth are not possible without first addressing basic human needs - together we make that possible.

Winter Break Office Closure

Our offices in St. Helena and Calistoga will be closed from December 22, 2023, through January 2, 2024.

We will resume regular business hours on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. In case of urgent requests for assistance, we will be monitoring our voicemail and taking appointments on an as-needed basis over this period.
