Wellness Fair Connects Older Adults with Resources and Support
May is recognized nationally as Older Americans Month, a time to celebrate the contributions of older adults and promote healthy aging. This year's theme, "Champion Your Health," highlights the importance of prevention, wellness, and access to resources that support independence and well-being.
In recognition of Older Americans Month, UpValley Family Centers hosted its 4th Annual Older Adult Health and Wellness Fair on May 27th at Pioneer Park in Calistoga. The event welcomed approximately 125 attendees and featured 28 community partners offering information, services, and resources for older adults and caregivers.
Participants connected directly with local providers, learned about programs and supports available throughout Napa County, attended CPR training, and enjoyed raffle prizes and giveaways. The event also featured the Napa County Be Well Mobile Services Vehicle, which provided on-site CalFresh enrollment assistance, medical enrollment services, and behavioral health screenings.
Beyond sharing information, the event created meaningful opportunities for older adults to connect directly with service providers. Attendees were able to begin scheduling appointments, helping to turn awareness into action and strengthen access to care and support in the UpValley community.

2025 Community Impact Report We invite you to explore our 2025 Community Impact Report and learn more about how UpValley Family Centers is responding to the evolving needs of our community. Inside, you'll find stories and outcomes that reflect the impact of our work — from supporting housing stability and student wellness to helping families navigate complex challenges and access critical resources. These accomplishments are made possible through the support of donors, volunteers, partners, and community members who invest in our mission. As we approach the end of our fiscal year on June 30, we are working to raise the final $58,000 needed to meet this year's fundraising goal. At a time when demand for services continues to grow and funding sources are becoming less certain, community support remains essential to ensuring that individuals and families can access the help they need. Thank you for being part of this work. We hope you'll take a moment to read the report and see the impact we're making together. |
