Napa Valley Vintners Awards $200,000 to UVFC
We’re grateful to receive $200,000 from Napa Valley Vintners (NVV) to support youth wellness programs on upvalley school campuses. This grant represents a portion of NVV’s total $400,000 grant award to UpValley Family Centers, with the remaining funding to be announced separately. This funding is part of NVV’s $1.8 million investment in local nonprofits helping students access wellness support on school campuses throughout Napa County. With this support, we’ll continue providing student-centered prevention and early intervention services on upvalley school campuses, including:
- Student Wellness Centers at Calistoga Elementary School and St. Helena High School
- CLARO/CLARA Youth Mentoring Programs in St. Helena and Calistoga
- Restorative programs and other school-based supports
Together, these programs create safe, supportive spaces where young people can build connections, access resources, and get help early when they need it.
Thank you, Napa Valley Vintners, for investing in student and family wellness!

Introducing Juntos Jueves: Get Trusted, Verified Information We are committed to supporting immigrant families across Napa Valley through trusted information, community education, legal immigration support, and partnerships that help families feel prepared, informed, and supported. This work is strengthened through the Napa Valley Together initiative, a partnership of trusted local nonprofit organizations. As a member, we help immigrants in Napa Valley access citizenship legal services, Know Your Rights workshops and trainings, family preparedness support, employer support, and free or low-cost legal assistance for residents who qualify to apply for citizenship. To keep our community informed, we are also excited to share Juntos Jueves, a weekly messaging campaign for Napa County residents seeking reliable, timely, and culturally relevant information to support immigrant families, mixed-status households, and their allies. Juntos Jueves content will focus on legal updates, community resources, public safety updates, safety & belonging, and success stories. The information shared through Juntos Jueves is verified, fact-focused, and community-informed. We invite you to stay connected, share with your family and friends, and help us keep our community informed. Follow Napa Valley Together on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Meet the people and organizations working behind the scenes to strengthen immigrant families across Napa County in this video announcement. This campaign was born from our community, and we’re excited to continue building it Juntos — together. |

VITA Volunteers Needed We are looking for volunteers to help with our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which helps local families prepare and file their taxes for free, understand their returns, and claim the credits they earned. We’re looking for volunteers who:
- Want to help with either intake or tax preparation. No prior tax experience needed!
- Speak English or Spanish (or both!)
- Can commit to at least one 4-5 hour shift per week from late January through mid-April 2027 during our free tax clinics in Calistoga and St. Helena.
No tax experience needed — we provide free training, materials, and ongoing support. Help neighbors access the refunds and credits they deserve — and gain valuable skills along the way! If you are interested in becoming a VITA Volunteer, please fill out the Volunteer Interest Form at upvalleyfamilycenters.org/volunteer. |

Stay Ready for Wildfire Season It’s crucial to stay ready for evacuations in the event of wildfires, floods, or earthquakes. Wildfires can happen at anytime and can catch residents off-guard. Ensure your safety by taking these steps:
- Evacuate promptly whenever a fire or disaster approaches.
- Discuss a meeting spot with loved ones in case returning home is not possible.
- Assemble an emergency supply kit with essential items.
- Familiarize yourself with Red Flag Warnings and how to access weather reports.
