Back to school fun!

We were thrilled to have so many of you join us at the 16th annual Back to School Family Celebration yesterday evening in Calistoga!

Over 50 partner organizations provided a broad array of resources and information to children, youth, families and seniors, amid a backdrop of live music, children's activities, and our special guest, Moana, thrilling all ages with songs and autographs. We are grateful to our trusted core of volunteers - youth and adults - who helped us provide a free meal to over 1,000 guests. Nimbus Arts led a creative mosaic activity in honor of our 20th anniversary serving the upvalley community - so stay tuned for a beautiful art piece that we will hang outside of our office at the Calistoga Elementary School, that all of you helped to create!

This event would not have been possible without our generous sponsors: Calistoga Joint Unified School District, Jones Family Vineyards, Rivers Marie Wines, The Doctors Company, Napa Valley Wealth Management, CalMart, Westamerica Bank, David Abreu Vineyard Management/Abreu Vineyards, Congressman Mike Thompson, Calistoga Rotary, Damian Maldonado Memorial Foundation, and Silverado Ace Hardware.

Get informed about public charge

Recently the Trump Administration announced changes to the public charge test, which will become effective on October 15, 2019. The public charge test is used by immigration officials when a person applies to enter the US or to get a green card. In this test, officials look at all of the person's circumstances to determine if they are likely to become dependent on the government. Get help understanding the new changes before you take action. These rules do not apply to all immigrants. Exceptions include: refugees/asylees, green card holders applying for US citizenship, and others. To learn more click here for resources in English and Spanish, or contact our office for a consultation at (707) 965-5010.
