Zantos' Future of Opportunity

Zantos is a senior at St. Helena High School and has been a participant in our CLARO youth mentoring program for the last 6 years. Inspired by his dad, an upvalley mechanic, Zantos knew he wanted to pursue a career in engineering through higher education, but didn’t know where to start. That’s when his cousin invited him to join CLARO. Zantos knows that becoming an adult comes with a lot of challenges, but because of the mentorship he received in CLARO he now feels he is ready for college. 

It’s stories like Zantos’ that inspire our work to ensure that all generations have trusted guidance and support to build on the strengths they already possess. Strong communities don’t just happen; they are built with intentionality and a belief that members of all ages and backgrounds contribute in vital ways to an interconnected and healthy society.

Upcoming Holiday Activities for Families

- We hope to see you at the Calistoga Holiday Village this Friday, December 2nd from 4:00-8:00pm at Pioneer Park. Our Niños Activos program will have an ornament-making booth - be sure to stop by and make a special holiday ornament!

- Don't miss our Youth Mentoring Program's float in this year’s Calistoga Lighted Tractor Parade this Saturday, December 3rd from 7:00-8:00pm. Come out and cheer us on!

- On Thursday, December 8th we're hosting a Gingerbread House Decorating Party at the Calistoga Community Center from 3:30-6:30PM. This event is free for Calistoga families with children 12 years old and younger. 

- Join us at the St. Helena Fire Department for a Gingerbread House Decorating Party on Sunday, December 11th from 11:00am - 3:00pm. Decorate your own gingerbread house and explore the fire station & engines. Free wood-fired pizza will be served for lunch.

Make this Holiday Season a Little Brighter for Our UpValley Community

This holiday season, we invite you to join us in supporting upvalley community members as they forge their way through these economically challenging times. We will be providing holiday and emergency financial assistance to those needing a little extra to cover the cost of food and rent during the winter months when seasonal work in the valley has slowed.   

Our annual Holiday Assistance Program is a source of joy in our community every year, by providing gifts and food for a holiday meal to struggling families who have children age 12 and under. We hope you can help us fill a gap to ensure that upvalley teens also receive a gift and know that they are remembered this holiday season.

It's Giving Tuesday and we are excited to announce that we are a proud participant in CanDo’s Napa Valley Give!Guide 2022! The Give!Guide supports Napa County nonprofits by raising funds and awareness, fostering collaboration, and cultivating an ever-larger community of givers.
