| | Housing is Key One of the realities of COVID-19 is that many households are struggling financially. The good news is that financial relief is available through California's Housing Is Key Program, and UpValley Family Centers can help you access it. State level eviction protections change at the end of the month: though current eviction protections end on September 30, starting October 1 a modified eviction protection goes into effect through March 31, 2022 for those who are eligible for rental assistance. The protections can be accessed by applying for rental assistance. The program is active and currently accepting applications. There is no deadline to apply. Eligibility includes: being behind on rent or utilities due to COVID-19, experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19, and meeting income requirements (any changes in income during the pandemic may be considered, even if current income levels are different). All Napa County residents are eligible to apply, regardless of immigration status. This assistance is not considered a public charge.
